Build-A-Bike

Ever wonder what makes a bike roll, turn, and stop? Through 8 sessions, these workshops teach students how to properly & completely rebuild a bicycle.

The Week-by-Week Plan:

1. Introduction to BICAS &
   Dismantling Parts
2. Headsets
3. Bottom Brackets
4. Hubs
5. Brakes
6. Drive-train
7. Flats & Safety
8. Start your own bike!

Classes held:
(Check calendar for class schedule)
Tuesdays - Build-a-Bike for Community 4-7pm

Saturdays - Build-a-Bike for Community 1-4pm

Fridays - Build-a-Bike, West Side Neighborhoods Weed and Seed 5-8pm

In the end, you will build two bicycles. The first one you build working with fellow classmates, and the second one you build for yourself. At no extra cost, you pick out a bike from our donations and any used parts that it needs, and use all the community tool shop time you need to complete it.

Cost: All 8 Classes - $80
